Enrique, I personally think that Yuan Dynasty is so important because that the founder of the Yuan Dynasty unified whole China. It ended Song and Jin Dynasties and included Yunnan, Tibet, Qinghai and other regions into its territory.1

It was the first dynasty(and rule)to be ruled by Mongols. It was also one of the only times that mass amounts of foreigners came to CHina0
