Recently there are G types available between Shanghai and Guangzhou which take about 7 to 8 hours. The ticket price is beased on the seat class you choose, usually from CNY2492.5 to CNY793. There is also normal slow one available which takes about 17 to 22 hours. And the price is between CNY584.5 to CNY189.5. You can search for the schedule on this website.
