Taking dehydrated masks into China

I plan to go through Beijing on my way to spending a month in northern Mongolia. I follow a plant - based diet and would like to bring a month's worth of commercially produced dehydrated backpacker meals. Will my duffle bag of food be suspect if I explain it's for my own use due to dietary needs?

It may lead to suspect from the custom. It is suggested to take less, maybe the amount for half of a month.

Thank you for your response. I will want to eat for the entire month, however! Perhaps if I have a note from my doctor saying it is medically necessary for me to carry this food? And/or a letter from my host in Mongolia confirming they will not be able to adequately provide for me if I don't bring my own supplies?

Ted, it's doable if your doctor write a medical report that you need to take these food for medical reason. And please confirm that no dairy products, eggs and cheese and other prohibited food are taken.

Thanks, James. Those are the very products I'm trying to avoid!

Also, I just realized the title of this post says "dehydrated masks," when obviously I meant "dehydrated meals." Got me again, autocorrect!
