Love again at last. i have met a man who is a rat, I'm a pig. we seem to connect. will it last?

Although I've only been speaking to this man for a week on a dating website, it feels as if I've known him for years. He is European and very full on. He believes it's fate we have met and I so want to believe him, but have had two scammers in recent times and I don't want to get hurt. I wasn't emotionally invested in the others as I am with this man. He rings and texts me every day and also wgrites emails. Can I trust that he is who he says he is or am I being played again?
