Yungang Grottoes - Hanging Monastery - stay in Hunyuan or Shahe - Wutaishan

1. Yes, you can cover both of them in a day. To make full use of your time, I suggest you take a taxi for a round trip to visit the grottose, because it is only around 10mi from the city center. After that, go to DT Bus Station to take a direct bus to Hanging Monastery. Buses for this route are scheduled from 06:30 to 18:00.
2. You are suggested to stay in a hotel in Hunyuan County, because I remember no accommodation is available near the scenic area.
3. You can take a bus or taxi from the Monastery to Hunyuan. At Hunyuan Bus Station, there are direct buses to Wutaishan. For the whole trip, it takes around 3h. However, I am not clear about the bus timetable.

Hi! We are a couple from SPAIN. We are going to be in Beijing in April 2015 too and we would like to go to DT and visit the Yungang Grottes and the Hanging Monastery (one day excursion between the 5th and the 10th of April).
