Could you please help me with learning how to play a Chinese government official?

Hi. I'm playing the part of a Chinese woman in a play. Six of us, five Americans and a Saudi Arabian, wrote it, so we didn't have much knowledge about China. The play is a comedy about Ronald Reagan accidentally blowing up the Great Wall instead of the Berlin Wall. But of course we don't mean to be disrespectful to the Chinese people or anything like that.

The character is in charge of taking care of the wall and teaching important visitors about it. Her name is So Chow Dingbang, because of the Chinese actress Yu So-Chow and because one of us in the group looked it up and Dingbang means protector of the country, according to him.

What do I need to know in order to play her properly?

Briana, I think you may watch some Chinese TV series or CCTV news. In the news report, you will find many scenes of the government officials. You don't need to understand what they talk about. Instead, you should observe their dresses and ways of speaking, walking and sitting. I personally think this is helpful.
