Postage calc China to Australia

Hi,
I want to have a parcel sent from China to Australia. It is 0.12cubic meter, and weighs less than 10 kg (approx 8 kg). I calculated it as a large parcel, via China Post, and it comes to less than AUD47 (approx CNY246). The sender tells me more than double. Am I missing something? Are there extra charges I missed? I would like some direction here, please.
