About:Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles

Plan to use the same day rush service for a work Visa at the LA Consulate.

Is this service still available? The website say as of Oct 2013 the service is for emergencies only. What does this mean? I will only be in the US for 2 days before I must return to China, so I really need to be able to use the same day service. Thanks

Usually, the consulate will not accept the rush day service, so seldom people can get it.
If you go to China for an urgent thing, but do not have a permit, you are able to enjoy this service.

If you really need it, you can try to apply, but it is not assured that you can get it. You are suggested to apply it a little bit earlier to avoid troubles.
