About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need a transit G for a 4hour layover in Guangzhou Baiyun airport?

Hi, I am a malaysian citizen holding a malaysian passport. My journey will be heading to Los Angeles, USA (LAX) with a transit in Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. The layover will be about 4 hours. I am planning to just stay within the transit area, within the airport. Do i need a visa for this i.e transit type? I read through the website and it stated those travelling with tickets to the final destination do not need a transit type as long as they are within the airports that have transit areas. I have never been in Guangzhou so I am unsure how to go about this. Any kind of help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

If you just stay in the airport, no Transit G is required, but only your passport is enough. The saying on the website is correct, so please do not worry.
