how can i go to zhongshan from macau? do i still need a visa?

Yes, you need a visa to tour ZS.
Go to Macao Border Gate from where you are and cross the border to Zhuhai Gongbei. Then walk to Gongbei Bus Station to take a bus to Zhongshan. Many buses are scheduled so you can easily catch one.2
