woman 14.03.1974, he is 21.08.1977.

Unlucky in love all my life, betrayal from husband, later lying boy friend, i am a single parent. Dating a guy again recently, can i trust him, trying to decide either to stay together or not? Want a safe happy family for me and my kids, romance, financial stability

For the relationship, Snake and lion to mine tiger and pices, i am afraid we wont be able to get along. He is a nice person, but controlling and doesnt spend time with me, when together often arguing. Is there a future and possible happiness, or it would be better for me to move on?

Based on the Chinese astrology only, the snake and tiger are not a perfect match. It is hard for you know the other's heart.
Do you love him? If you love him, you can try to tolerant and stay with him, otherwise, you are suggested to try to find another person.

I love him, but in my experince if people dont make each other happy love doesnt survive. I dont know what to do.

Julia, of course you know what exactly you should do. If both are unhappy, then you both should try to fix your relationship together. Another option is to quit. As you said, love doesn't survive if both sides are unhappy.
