trains from guangzhou east to hong kong

Question

I would like to go to Hong Kong from guangzhou east station on dec 23 for a night stay in HK! Firstly I would like to know if there are different class trains and also do I need to book in advance? Kindly advise  . . . . if there is a difference in first class and premium class seats?

There are differnet seat class for the trip from Guangzhou to Hong Kong. There are first class seat and VIP seat. But VIP seat is only available on some of the trains, not everyone. If you are not tight in time, you can try to buy it the day you depart. If you are tight in time and want everything fixed, you can book it in advance.
