travel in yunnan during spring rush

Question

I am planning to travel in Yunnan from February 27th for about two weeks. I had hoped to figure out my travel in the region once I got there but am concerned about not finding train transportation due to Spring Rush. Is travel by bus any easier to arrange than travel by train? Or should I make all my bookings before I go?  Junis from Canada

If you need to travel by rail during the rush, you need to book the ticket in advance. For the bus ticket, through it imight be better than rail ticket, it is still under great demands especially for hot visiting destination like Yunnan. But for the bus ticket you can only buy it when you arrive there. Anyway, if you need transfer by rail at that time, you'd better book in advance.
