hi am gayan, i want to travel to hongkong so do i have to apply for a hongkong visa or china one?

i want to meet a friend in hongkong and i need a visit type for about 2 weeks i want to know whether to apply for a hongkong visit type or a china visit type and please let me know about the working Z as well.

you need to apply a HK Transit/Visit Type, because HK and China mainland have different immigration system.
If you want to work in HK, you still need to apply for a Work Z for HK only.
