How far is the Great wall from Dongcheng District?

Nicole, which section do you plan to visit, Badaling, Mutianyu, Simatai or Jinshanling? Where exactly do you stay in Dongcheng district? Otherwise, it's too difficult to figure how to reach the wall from the place you stay at.

It's on 31 North Shatan Street,Doncheng District.
I haven't decide which section will I visit, any suggestions from you?

Yes, some sections are a bit far from each other. How is your health condition? If you are young and healthy, you might visit Simatai or Jinshanling sections because they keep the original outlook of the wall. Otherwise, I think you may visit Badaling instead. The transportation to Badaling is much more convenient. You can take a taxi from Shatan Road to Deshengmen. It costs around CNY 20. THere you can take bus no. 877 to visit Badaling section.
