walking from parking to great wall

Question

hi! were going to visit the wall on dec 27. can we ride the gondola to the wall? how far we have to walk from the parking are to the gondola service.. and from gondola to the great wall itself? i understand it winter in china on that date, and we have our kids with us age 9 & 10.. just wondering how we can save more walking for the kids not to easily get tired from going to the wall.. thank you

Nick, which section are you going to visit? If you visit Badaling section, you needn't worry about this. You just need walk around 5 minutes to reach the ticket offices. If you are afraid your kids may not finish climbing the wall, you may use cable car to reach the top.
