question about pet travel

hello,I've tried contacting ChinaEastern by phone, but I'm not getting through to them.Would you have any information on the cost of pet travel? I've read that pets can only be taken as checked baggage. But I can't find information on whether there is an extra cost for pets (or if the pet can be included in the free baggage allowance)..... I am traveling from USA to India and then up to Beijing, China.Thank you

If you want to travel with the pet, you need to apply when you buy the ticket from their direct ticket office. And prt needs the valid documents for health etc and can only be arranged with the goods. You need to make sure that the flight you take is capable of animal transfer. The pets do not belongs to free luggage, it is account as the excess baggage and cost different for different route. You can check it with the staff when you buy the ticket.
