Internship in China, Z type?

Due to changes in the procedure an internship / training for less than 6 months is accounted to as a Z-visa , or work type. Is this correct or not? If not correct, what type should I apply for?

You are right. According to the rules, you need to apply for a Work Z for your internship in China.
