About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Timing of visa

Does the 72 hour permit really start at 00:00 the following day? Other sites say otherwise I just wanted to make sure this was correct if anyone has used this permit before.

To add to this:
We hope to arrive in Shanghai from Manila on May 26 at 0825 and depart for toronto on May 29 at 1215.

Would love to hear from someone who has been in a similar situation. Thanks!

One of my friend call the immigration at Shanghai airport to confirm the time. The 72 hours are started from the 00:00 the next day you enter China.

So you may enjoy this policy. If you still worrys about it, you can contact the immigration at the airport again for confirming.
