About:China Business Visa

I want to open a Latino Dance Studio in Xi'an. Do I need a M visa?

Where I can find the procedures to do it? Is there a minimum invest necessary? I have an american passport.

An invitation letter is needed from your Chinese partner when applying the M type. If you do not have that kind of partner, you are unable to apply that M type.

You can try to apply for a Tourist L type to enter China first and prepare for opeing a studio. After your company get registered, you can apply for a Work Z in China. You are suggested to find a local agency to help you to open the studio, otherwise, it is a complex task for you to handle.

Is that true that these kind of agencies can be very expensive? Do you know if there's a minimum invest required?

These kinds of agency really need to charge some money.
If you open it only by yourself, the minimum investment money is at least 100 thousand Yuan. If two people open a company, the minimun fee is 30 thousand Yuan.
