About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

transit in Beijing for less than 24 hours

Hi,

I'm a Belgian citizen.

For the moment I'm in China on a single entry visa. I will fly back to Brussels from Hongkong via Beijing. I will be in Beijing for less then 24 hours. Is this a Direct Transit?? Or the 72-hour Free Transit?

If it is Direct Transit, what do I have to do before boarding the flight?

Thanks,
Maarten.

Since you are in China now, your flight to Beijing is not regarded as a 24 hour direct transit or 72-hour free transit. You just need to take a domestic flight to Beijing with your current single one and the leave for HK.

Hi, thank you for the reply.

I don't know if I explained well.

Now I am in China and I will travel overland to Hongkong. I have a flight back to Belgium from Hongkong with Hainan Airlines.
The flight Hongkong-Brussels goes via Beijing. So I have one flight that goes from Hongkong to Beijing and 3 hours later a flight that goes from Beijing to Brussels.

Is this Direct Transit?

Thanks,
Maarten.

If so, your flight from HK to Belgium via Beijing is a direct transit. Please do not worry.
