About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Does the transit visa apply both ways or only 1 way?

Hi,I have a ticket from Auckland - Guangzhou - Paris and return. Am I able to take advantage of the 72 hours transit in Guangzhou on both legs or only 1 leg?
