About:Shanghai Attractions

I'm visiting Beijing and Shanghai for 6 days the second week of January

So I plan to spend 3 days on each city. I would like to know if I can take a train to go from one city to the other.
Do you recommend it?
Is it safe for tourists traveling solo?
Is it too expensive or cheaper than flying?
Considering stops along the way, how long will the trip take?
And more importantly, is there sings in english indicating destination points?
Last thing I want is getting off in the wrong city---lol

Thank you in advance,
Jesse.

Hi, your plan is good and it is fine to travel between by train. Actually, the bullet trains between are very convenient and the fastest one only takes around 5.5h. Sometimes, the air ticket enjoys some discounts and it costs less than bullet train.

Don't worry! The two cities are both very safe to travel alone. In the railway station, airport and metro stations, there are English signs for your convenience. You can see some English signs in the city as well. It is not very hard to travel without speaking Chinese. Take it easy! Anyway, make preparation as much as possible in advance.
