Are Laser roll alignment measuring equipment permissable

We have a supplier in China that has built a machine for us. We have a tool that emits a low intensity laser that is used to level rolls to ensure they are parallel to each other. The equipment is in a carry-on case.

It can be taken into China. It is suggested to prepare its instruction book for any checking requirement.
