About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Wife moving over on an S1 visa

My wife is moving over to live with me on an s1 type. I work in china but I am an alien with work and residence permit. I've booked my wife in for her medical when she arrives what else will she need regarding paper work?

You mean the paper to change the S1 to a resident permit for your wife?
If so, she still needs to prepare: her valid passport, her resident permit application form, medical test, a recent taken photo, Valid Registration Form of Temporary Residence for Visitors and your marriage certificate. Remember to change the S1 to a resident permit within 30 days of her arrival.

I have an s1 type change to resident permit as well. The psb here in Guangzhou require a Chinese translation of marriage certificate.
