About:Marriage Registration in China

type if my purpose of visit is marriage?

Good day, I'm from the Philippines and a first time Chinese visa applicant. I have a Chinese boyfriend who lives and work in China. We would like to spend time together there for a long duration as much as possible and during that period, to register for marriage. But I have no idea what type I should apply for. I have already settled requirements such as Cert. of No Marriage authenticated by my country's foreign affairs and the Chinese Embassy and a copy of my birth certificate. S2 seems compatible but it only says for foreigners who lives in China, is it also applicable for Chinese Nationals? If so, what other documents should I prepare for since we are not yet related? And if not, what are my other options? I hope you could help me, thank you in advance.

Currently, you cannot apply for a S2, but can only apply for a Tourist L for going to China. After you get married, you can apply for a Q1 to stay in China for a long time.
For applying a Tourist L, you are suggested to ask your boyfriend to issu you an invitation letter. With the letter, your bank statement, your BIR-stamped income tax return form or personal ID, your valid passport, an application form with a recent taken photo, you can apply the L type in your own country.
