I am planning a yulong river trip with my family when in YS. Please advise if I can engaged a local tour guide to accompany us for the trip and how much will it cost. Also where can I book this

Generally, a tour guide will charge CNY200-300 per day there. Do you speak Chinese? If so, you can easily find one upon getting there and negotiate with them about the fare. If there is language barrier, you'd better hire one in advance. Turn to a hotel (if you will stay in one during your trip) or post your demand on the community of TravelChinaGuide for help.
