Indra, you need to apply from Chinese embassy in Australia. If the embassy can deal with your application for HK, you can submit your application together with the one for Macau to the consular department of Chinese embassy. It takes four or five days to deal with your application. The documents are your passport, filled ID1003A form (for HK), travel itinerary, a recent passport photo, round-trip air ticket and hotel reservation and your personal financial statement. As for Macau application, I think you'd better ask the embassy what application form you need to fill in. According to the information I found, the Macau authorities just require the applicants to apply from Chinese embassy or consulate but doesn't specify what documents are.
