Can we apply for a single entre visa with a 6 month time duration?

My husband and I are booked on a tour of China with a travel company starting on April 13th 2015 but we leave the UK on February 1st to visit family in Australia. Lucy

Lucy, a single entry one is valid for three months only. You may apply for a double-entry one which is valid for six months.

This may be a stupid question but can I apply for a 6 month double entry and only enter once? Thanks Lucy

Hi Lucy,

The best solution is that you'd better apply for one in mid of January. It sounds like time is tighter. Actually not, the application only takes one week. You will receive your passport and visa by 20 Jan 2015.
Of course, you can apply for a double entry over 6 month, just enter once.
