Can I bring a hunting firearm?

I have a hunting side arm and shotgun I want to bring to Thailand with me, my first layover is in Taiwan, then I go to Thailand. I know how to legally secure my weapons and bring it over through the states via luggage and declaring it but I'm not sure if China Airlines will give me problems if I bring my firearms. Anybody have a clue?

Jonny, I am afraid that you can not take your hunting firearm if you take Chinese Airlines. Weapons including hunting guns are not allowed to be brought on plane or put in the checked luggage, according to Chinese Aviation Rules. Anyway, you may contact China Airlines to confirm this.
