About:Passport

Irish passport expiring Aug 26 2015.Is visa from Mar 26 2015 possible without renewal

Personally speaking, you do not need to renew it. You need to have at least 6 month's validity when making application and you can guarantee. When enter China, the limitation may not be so strict. You may enter if your passport is still in validity.
