Sorry, I have no idea why your item was stuck. However, the customs regulations have been implemented strictly recently. I went to send some clothes to my friends abroad this Monday. The staff of the post office told me that clothes that have metal parts including buttons and zips won't pass the customs check.
I think you may ask help from your sender immediately. He might help you contact China Post to find out why your item was stuck.0
