Does Myanmar maid have to apply in person for visa to Hong Kong at China Embassy?

No, I heard you can also entrust someone to apply for that. For the details, you'd better call the local Chinese embassy or consulate for consultation in advance.

Thanks for prompt reply. I tried calling numerous times but the problem is china embassy side doesn't pick up.

You can visit the website of immd.gov to find the corresponding application form. Fill in it and send it to the the Office of the Government of the HK Special Administrative Region (immigration department) for your visa application. The whole process would take 4-6 weeks. In this way, you don't need to present either.

Hi I went to china embassy n clarified.
Maid does not need to apply in person.
However, if maid has no bank acct, thus no statements, they require employer's bank statements for latest 3 months.
The employer also need write a letter to state that she will assume full responsibility for maid's expenses n well being in HK. Has to state that full sponsorship of airfare, hotel, meals and other needs. Write down full name of employer, NRIC/passport, and maid full name and passport/work permit. Attach photocopy of employer's NRIC/passport.
