What kind of visa do I have to obtain if I am a French student who lives in Australia for 1 year?

I am a French student with a student type who lives in Australia for one year and I plan to go in China in January for 3 weeks. What kind do I have to obtain and what papers do I have to gather for my record. Where do I have to deposit this application if I live in the Gold Coast Consul general, Consular office or CVASC?

Hi, what is your purpose to visit China? The paperworks depend on the visiting purposes.
In general, you need to apply at the CVASC in Brisbane.

If so, your valid passport, an application form with a recent taken photo, your hotel bookings, a round trip tickets to China, your study permit in China. Besides, an insurance may be required by the embassy, but you need to confirm this with the CVASC or the embassy.
