About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

USA>Beijing>HK>Shanghai>USA, 72 hours visa free transit?

Can a tourist from the USA headed to HK stop in Beijing on the outbound leg, take advantage of the free visit, go to Hong Kong, then repeat the same trick via Shanghai on the way back to the USA?

It is possible to use the 72-hour free transit policy on your two journeys, so please do not worry. Just remember to tell the airline that you want to enjoy it when boarding.
