tips to visist badaling great wall

Hi,I'm visiting there next month. Should I take the cable up to the 8th tower and than walk down or vice versa? Which is better. Taking photos in the morning is more beautiful or in the afternoon? Thank you so much

Peter, if possible, you may climb up the wall on your own. Then you can take the cable car to get down. Do you want to capture pictures of sunrise and sunset on the wall? And I am afraid that you may not be able to take photos of the sunrise at the wall because the wall isn't open for public when the sun rises.
