About:Shanghai Travel

I will be visiting Shanghai for work in a few weeks.

I will have a few days off over the weekend and would like to get out of the city to do some hiking. Are there any good hiking trails nearby and what is the best way to get to them?

If you prefer natural hiking environment, I would recommend Huihang Ancient Road and Damingshan (the transportation to this one is a little complicated). Both of them are in Lin'an area. To get to Huihang Ancient Road, you can take a train to Hangzhou first. Then go to Hangzhou West Bus Station, take a bus to Jixi first and then take a taxi or a private car to the scenic area for hiking. And two days are enough for the trip.

You can go to Haiwan National Forest Park: take subway line 2 to Longyang Road, transfer to LongPingLu line to Wusi Farm, take Haiwan third line to there. Or you can take subway line 8 to National Air and Space Museum, transfer to Haihang line to Xinghuo Farm, take Haiwan third line to there.
