Appointments for Visa

Hi, I am coming to Osaka at the end of November for 1 week and am hoping to get my permit for China. Can anyone advise if I need to make an appointment in Osaka or do I just turn up.
If I need to make an appointment, how do I go about doing it.

It is not need to make an appointment in Osaka, but just go to the embassy/consulate directly for application.
