About:China Visa Application in USA

How to submit visa application if the state I live in does not have a Chinese Consulate?

I am taking a cruise from Hong Kong to Japan with a 2-day stop in Shanghai. I live in Hawaii and we do not have a Chinese Consulate where I can drop off my application. I read from the instructions that application by mail is no longer accepted. How can I apply for it for my 2-day stay on Shanghai?

Since you are in Hawaii, you need to make the application in the consulate in Los Angeles. You can go to the consulate in person for application or apply through a local tour agency.
