Scenic places on the way from chengdu to jiuzhaigou by car

I am also considering to visit JZG from chengdu by car but the journey seems very long. Are there scenic places in between chengdu and the valley?

Yes, there are many interesting scenic spots on the way, such as Dujiangyan Irrigation Project and Chuanzhuzi.
Dujiangyan is the oldest and only surviving no-dam irrigation system in the world; and a wonder in the development of Chinese science. And you can see cultural heritages in the Chuanzhusi Temple.
These two scenic areas are also the most worth places for tourists. Hope you like. :-)
