About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

First timer to go to China for training

Hello, it will be my first time to go abroad and China is the first country that i have to visit.
I am a flipina who was hired by a company based in Denmark while we have an office in Shanghai, and they want me to go there for a training for about two weeks stay only. I need to process all the requirements as much as possible and book a flight.
I don't have a passport yet, but I already submit my online application in DFA. I will make an appearance this coming October 24, 2014 and I chose the express service (7 working days) to get things faster. While my problem after that is how can I get a "business visa". I'm a bit confused if i should go directly at the Chinese Embassy or is it much better and faster if a travel agency will do these things for me?
Please I need your opinions and step by step guidelines to make this. Thanks a lot.

After you get the passport, you need to take it, an application form with a recent taken photo, your invitation letter from your company in China, your bank-statement, BIR-stamped income tax return form to apply at the local Chinese embassy.

Apply through a agency may make it easier to get the business type, but it is not always for sure. You can contact the local Chinese embassy first to enquire your situation and you may get a suitable answer from the embassy.

Hi Blake, thanks for your help.
Another question, I was just newly hired and I was a freelancer before my job so I cannot declare my ITR and I don't have that much money in my bank account to show that I can afford my travel and expenses in China. And the company told me that they will shoulder the costs. Would it be possible if I will declare that I will be "sponsored by another person" but not related to him?

If your company can provide a proof to show that they will sponor you, it is also OK.
