About:China Tourist Visa

I am attending a Surgical conference in China early November. I applied for a fellowship without pay

During the fellowship, I would be working in the Hospital for three months. I will not be paid by the Hospital during the fellowship. I will bear my own expenses. I am an australian citizen. What type of visa should I apply for? F or L or X2. For any of these types could i apply for multiple entry one?

Thank you
Dean from Australia

Since you will work in China, you may need to apply for a Work Z instead of F or X2. You are suggested to ask the embassy directly, since they has the right to decide which type is suitable.

Both Work Z and X2 are only a single entry one and the Tourist L has multiple entries. For Work Z, you need to change it into a resident permit, which can be used for exit and enter China multiple times.
