Would like to visit Dunhuang . The caves and sand dessert trip

What is the best time of the year to visit, And how to reach there . From Beijing , for example

Personally, Aug. to end of Oct. shall be the best timing to visit that area. If you set off from Beijing, take a direct plane to DH. Then the distance to Mogao Caves is around 10mi. You can take a taxi to reach easily at the cost of CNY40 or around.
