Police Character Certificate and Foreign Physical examination for S1 visa

I am from Pakistan. I want to bring my wife in China on S1 type. I am currently on X1 and I have a residence permit of one year in China. I want to ask is it necessary to have Police Character certificate when one applies for S1? Also What about Physical examination for S1?

Physical examination paper authenticated by your Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a must. If she comes to China for the first time, the police character certificate is required and it must be authenticated by your Ministry of Foreign Affairs too. By the way, your school should also issue an invitation letter to your wife.
