about canton fair

Hello Bala. I am Allan from Australia and currently attending Phase 1 of the Canton Fair. I suggest you use "hotels" to find a hotel. They all double their price when the canton fair is on. I You can download an app for iPhone also. I am staying at Fu Ho Hotel which runs a small bus to the fair each day, or the Subway rail system connects you to the fair with two stations.

You can also download an app for the Subway called GZ Metro for iPhone which is extremely handy.

Fu Ho Hotel is very much in the city centre with restaurants and shopping malls all around. Beijing Pedestrian Mall is a popular tourist mall and within 500 mts of the hotel.

GETTING TO THE HOTEL -
OPTION METRO - You can travel to the Fu Ho hotel by Subway (Metro) from Baiyun Airport. Cost is about 10rmb
The Metro station is at the airport and signs inside the building will lead you there. You would catch Line 3 at Airport South; change to Line 1 at Tiyu Xilu; exit Line 1 at "Peasant Movement Institute" station. The hotel is about a 500 mt walk or a taxi will cost 10rmb. I caught a cab the first time because I did not know how to find the hotel.
OPTION TAXI - Taxi stand is out front of the airport. Cost is about 150rmb

Forgot to mention. Visa and MasterCard are accepted at most ATM's but most restaurants only take cash.
