About:China Transit Visa

What kind of visa will I need?

Hi,
I am an Italian citizen and I will enter in Guangzhou with a flight from Hanoi and I will leave Guangzhou after a few days heading Macau and then Hong Kong via ferry. What type will I need for Guangzhou?
I know that the 72 hours free transit is not good for me because I have to enter and exit Guangzhou only thru Guangzhou airport, which is not my case.

Personally speaking, a single entry Tourist L is enough for you to visit Guangzhou.

And can you please tell me which one is the cheaper way to obtain a L type? How much does it cost? I just need a single entry.
I currently live in Australia but I hold an Italian Passport.
Thanks for your help.

Can you fly back to Italy to apply your L?

Bascially speaking, if you can, it is much easier to get it in Italy, since you have Italian passport. If you have a permit resident in Australia, you can try to apply in Australia, since you live there.
