About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

What do I need to do in advance?

I am travelling from Singapore to Beijing then from Beijing to Bangkok, from Bangkok to Phuket and then from Phuket to Singapore. I will be in Beijing for less than 72 hours.

I understand that I will be able to get a transit G. Do I need to do anything in advance or just turn up at Beijing airport and apply on arrival. Do I need to check with the airline (Air China) that they will accept me boarding without a G or are they well briefed on this? The tickets which will prove that I am flying to Bangkok will be E-ticket format so is this acceptable as proof?

For Beijing airport, you can just apply at the airport, but do not need to contact the airline in advance. Personally speaking, the Air China will know the 72-hour free transit policy, so you can board smoothly. The e-ticket is available and it is suggested to prepare a copy of the invoice to show the amount paid and payment method for your ticket.
