About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

my invitation letter from China states that my date of first entry is Oct 10,2014.

What does that mean? i just received my documents from China now so would it still be valid if i apply on Oct 16,2014? thank you.

You'd better apply before Oct. 10, 2014. If you apply on Oct. 16, I am afraid that the embassy doesn't accept your application and the invitation letter.

Thanks Kate for your response.. As much as i want to apply before Oct 10, my papers just arrived today, oct 13. So it means i would ask my employer to send a new one?? Or do you have any idea on possible ways to still use it at the embassy??? Thank you very much 😀😆

You are suggested to ask the embassy as soon as possible, because the embassy has the final right to decide it. Probably, they can understand your situation.
