About:SG04-INTL

I have relative in guangdong and I recently applied for a q2 visa

I fulfilled all the conditions including letter of invitation from my relative in China. However they only grant me a 6 months one for max 90 days stay. the reason being my passport expire in 10 months time..is this correct?

to give further info on this, my relative is actually the younger brother of my father.
I will apply for a new passport next yr and hope to get the 5 yr q2 visa...if I still hv problem who can I approach

Simon, you should have been qualified for applying for a six-month Q2 type. However, the consular officer has the final say. If they give you a 90 days one, then you have no choice but accept it.
