About:Transportation of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport

I will be going to Hangzhou arriving at airport around 10:20 pm

and I need to find transport to West Lake areas before proceeding to Taixin on the next day, which I heard is about 2 hrs from Shanghai

You can use the airport shuttle bus Pinghailu Line to Chengzhan Railway Station, which is quite near the West Lake area, you can take a taxi to reach the detailed destination.

And you are right, it is about 2 hours bus ride from Shanghai to Taixing.
